This backyard in Plano had a great pool and open space, but something was missing — a place to gather, cook, and relax in the shade. That’s where Bobcat Custom Construction came in. The result? A freestanding custom cabana that brings together functionality, design, and a big dash of personality.
At the center of the cabana is a stunning wood-fired pizza oven — not something you see every day, and definitely not something you forget. Paired with a built-in grill and an outdoor fireplace with a TV mounted overhead, this cabana was designed with both hosting and everyday enjoyment in mind. Whether it’s a weekend gathering, a quiet evening meal, or a pool party, the space flexes to fit every moment.
The stonework chosen for this project wasn’t just a design choice — it was a thoughtful match to the existing pool surround, creating visual harmony between the cabana and the rest of the yard. Every line, joint, and color was selected to complement what was already there, not compete with it.
One of the standout details is the woodwork under the patio cover. Instead of going with a standard finish, we incorporated unique wood detailing that draws the eye upward and adds texture and warmth to the entire structure. Ceiling fans help keep the space breezy even on hot summer days.
